The purpose of Labor Day, a significant day of rest, is to honor the contributions that workers have made to society. It is a day set aside to remember those who have fought for safe and just working conditions as well as to commend those who have improved their working conditions, salary, and benefits. The main purpose of Labor Day is to raise awareness of the struggles and sacrifices made by employees to improve their working conditions and rights. Labor unions were established in order to fight for better wages, benefits, and safe working conditions. The labor movement also succeeded in securing a number of rights for workers, like the eight-hour workday and the weekend, which we now take for granted.  The School year is soon coming to an end, this past eight weeks may have been stressful, frustrating and annoying, despite all the setbacks I still thoroughly enjoyed this year’s lessons. Although the lessons were fun, I wouldn’t say it’s easy, after all nothing in this life is easy, only hardships.   In this quarter, ICT, first, we learned and then, conducted a community based research. Community based research (CBR) is a methodological practice that places community partnerships at the forefront. Community based research also covers a wide variety of areas within a single community. This is what I gained throughout the quarter in this subject. With the problems that I encountered.  All in all, I learned so much in this quarter, not only in terms of academic but also in life. I know that I walked on the right path to be here now.
